Text Tools

Text tools have no magic in them. The difference is how tolerant the input format is, and whether the output is ready to use downstream.

These tools share one trait: both input and output are plain text. There is no canvas or pixel rendering, so each one has a short interaction — paste, pick parameters, copy. The difference is how tolerant the input format is.

By purpose they split into three groups. The first writes content: the Markdown to styled HTML tool and the Markdown to image cards tool both take Markdown input and produce, respectively, a rich-text article or a set of image cards — the two longest flows in this category. The second converts format: HTML to Markdown, Table to Markdown and the URL slug generator all turn one textual representation into another. Rules are fixed and there are no tunable parameters, so a run gives you the result immediately. The third generates or looks up: the special symbols collection, text to icons, the JSON formatter and the random password generator.

If you only try one, decide in this order: can it accept your content in its current format, and is the output the format your downstream system needs. When the formats do not line up, converting in the middle is usually cheaper than reformatting by hand.

What these tools share: all processing happens locally in your browser and the text you enter never reaches a server; no registration or login; no batch limit.
