Image Compressor

Batch compress PNG, JPG and WebP images online. 100% local processing — nothing is uploaded to any server.

Most social media platforms care about image size, and originals often fail to upload. This tool compresses images in bulk in your browser, keeping both versions so you can choose.

Features

PNG / JPG / WebP

Three common formats, with no limit on how many files you select at once.

Lossy and lossless

Lossy compresses harder; lossless preserves pixel data. Choose based on what you are publishing.

Scale by ratio or by pixels

Scale proportionally by percentage, or set exact target width and height for precise control.

Per-image status tracking

Each file shows waiting, processing, done or failed independently, so one failure does not stall the rest.

Local processing

Compression runs in your browser. Images are never uploaded.

Use Cases

Slimming article images

Most platforms are sensitive to image size, so compress before uploading.

Compressing before sharing

Smaller files open faster for whoever receives them.

Converting to WebP

PNG or JPG to WebP for a smaller file at the same visual quality.

How It Works

  1. 1Upload in bulkSelect many PNG, JPG or WebP files.
  2. 2Choose a modeLossy or lossless, then set quality or scaling.
  3. 3Set the target sizeScale by ratio, or set width and height directly.
  4. 4DownloadCompare originals and results, then download all or just the ones you want.

FAQ

Does lossless compression really keep quality?

Yes. Lossless removes only redundant metadata and compressible structure, leaving pixel values untouched. The ratio is much lower than lossy, but the image is identical at the pixel level.

Does it support PSD?

No. Only PNG, JPG and WebP are accepted; anything else is rejected with a message.

Is there a limit on how many images I can send at once?

No hard limit. Everything is processed locally, so the ceiling is your own memory and CPU rather than a server.

Are the originals uploaded?

No. Compression happens entirely in your browser and images never leave your device.
