QuickToCreate

Excel to Chart

Upload an Excel file and instantly preview line and pie charts. Download as images. 100% local, no login required.

You have a spreadsheet and want a chart quickly. Opening a full spreadsheet application means creating a workbook, selecting a data range and wiring up axes. Here you upload the file, pick two columns, pick a chart type, and download an image.

Features

Parsed in your browser

Files are parsed locally with SheetJS. XLSX, XLS and CSV are supported, and nothing is uploaded.

Line and pie charts

Line for trends, pie for shares. The axis fields and the pie name and value columns are all selectable.

Row count indicator

Shows the data rows in the current sheet, so a wrong sheet is obvious immediately.

Download as image

The rendered chart exports as an image file you can drop into an article, slide or document.

Use Cases

Article charts

A monthly trend as a line chart is far clearer than a table.

Weekly report visuals

One trend chart in a report lets readers see the direction at a glance.

Quick data sanity check

Plot unfamiliar data before reading numbers row by row.

FAQ

What if the file is too large or the wrong type?

Each file is capped at 2MB and only XLSX, XLS and CSV are accepted. Both cases produce an explicit error.

Why do my dates show as numbers?

Excel stores dates as numeric serial values based on 1900. Convert the date column to text before uploading, otherwise the chart treats them as ordinary numbers.

Can I export SVG?

Only a raster image is exported. Convert the format yourself if you need a vector.

Is my Excel file uploaded?

No. Parsing happens entirely in your browser.
